Movement Interactive and Iveda (NASDAQ:IVDA), recently announced that they secured an eight-year Veterans Affairs contract worth $1.032 billion. This contract will provide care for 72,000 aging veterans across the U.S. by providing VA healthcare personnel (in facilities and homes) artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT)-enabled telehealth technology free of charge. According to Iveda founder and CEO David Ly, the technology will help alleviate the burden on caregivers simply by collecting data in the home. Collecting the data is IvedaCare, which provides caregivers with bot-enabled ambient fall detection, medication adherence monitoring, real-time location monitoring capabilities, and more all within a mobile app.
To Ly, the contract is not just a business agreement but a chance to serve those who have served his country.
